Bergen County Libraries Are Celebrating Read Across America Day

Bookworms, rejoice. National Education Association’s Read Across America Day is coming up on March 2, Dr. Seuss’s birthday. It’s purpose: motivate kids and celebrate reading by using resources and activities to make reading a priority. These Bergen County libraries are getting involved, with their own activities for a Seusstastic story-filled day.

Why: Seuss storytime plus snacks for everyone.

Where: Ridgewood Public Library
 
Why: Grades K-3 will listen to Seuss classics and make a craft.
When: Thursday March 1, 4:30-5:30 pm
Where: River Edge Public Library
 
Why: It’s an all-out Seuss party with snacks, crafts, games, goody bags and good reads.

Where: Northvale Public Library
 
Why: Dr. Seuss stories and crafts for kids in grades k-2. Advance registration.
